ABOUT

Michael arrived in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) from the UK with his wife and three children in 1996. He considers the BVI his home and has always lived near the water, enjoying property development. He designed and had his current home in Soper’s Hole built in 2007.

Tavolara in Jost Van Dyke was purchased after Hurricane Irma in 2020. The Tides was built in 2022 on the site of a property destroyed by Hurricane Irma. Christian (Michael’s son), together with his wife Kate, acquired Apple Surf in 2023, located next door but one to The Tides. They currently reside in New York.

Val Trinidad, the property manager for The Tides and Apple Surf, originally from the Philippines, joined the team in 2023. Brian Douglas, from Grenada, who manages Tavolara and oversees maintenance, started in 2020.

Luisa married Michael in Jersey (her home island) in 2019 and splits her time between Jersey and the BVI.

For guests seeking something more remote and unique, our property on Jost Van Dyke offers a very different experience. Sandy Ground on Jost Van Dyke is a small island community of only three square miles, known for its stunning White Bay beach and relaxed Caribbean atmosphere. While the rest of the BVI is still accessible, staying here allows visitors to immerse themselves in a quieter island lifestyle with charming bars, restaurants and unforgettable scenery.

We pride ourselves on offering properties that combine excellent locations, local knowledge and a welcoming approach to hospitality. Many of our guests return year after year, drawn by the beauty of the islands and the experience of staying in a place that feels both relaxed and special.
