Faymos Properties BVI | Terms and Conditions
1. Booking, Taxes, and Fees
Full Payment: 100% of the total booking amount is required to confirm your reservation. We also require the names of each guest staying in the unit. Please include date of birth if under 18 years to ensure no extra guest charge for children. Note that the occupancy rules vary per unit.
Hotel Accommodation Tax: In accordance with BVI law, a 10% Hotel Accommodation Tax is applied to the room rate. This is collected by Faymos Properties BVI and remitted directly to the government.
Weekly Discount: We offer a 10% discount on the room rate for stays of seven (7) nights or longer.
Environmental & Tourism Levy: Please note that the BVI Government collects a $10 per person Environmental and Tourism Levy upon arrival at your port of entry, airport or ferry terminal. This is not included in your booking total.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit may be required to cover potential damages.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our policy reflects the unique island setting of the BVI and the difficulty of re-booking at short notice:
- 60+ Days Notice: Full (100%) refund.
- Less than 60 Days Notice: No refund.
Our Commitment: In the event of a late cancellation, we will endeavour to re-book the dates. If we are successful, we may, at our discretion, offer a time-limited travel credit for a future stay.
3. Hurricane Season (June 1 – November 30)
We accept bookings for some of our properties during hurricane season; however, guests must be aware of the climatic risks.
Named Storms: In the event of a named storm or hurricane threatening the territory, we will contact you directly to discuss travel arrangements.
Insurance Requirement: We strongly advise all guests to maintain comprehensive travel insurance that covers “trip interruption” or “cancellation due to weather.”
Credits: If a stay is cut short or prevented by a hurricane, Faymos Properties BVI may offer a time-limited travel credit toward a future booking.
4. Arrival and Departure
Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM
Flexibility: We strive to be flexible with these times whenever our cleaning and maintenance schedules allow. Please contact us 48 hours in advance to request early arrival or late departure.
5. Professional Standards and Liability
Indemnity Insurance: For the protection of our guests and our business, Faymos Properties BVI maintains professional indemnity insurance.
Assumption of Risk: Guests use the property and amenities at their own risk. The Host is not liable for personal injury, illness, or loss of personal valuables during the stay.
Utilities: Island life occasionally involves service disruptions, including water, power, or internet. While we will do everything in our power to restore services, no refunds are guaranteed for utility outages.
6. House Rules
Smoking: All properties are strictly non-smoking.
Pets: Pets are not permitted at any Faymos Properties BVI property unless prior written consent has been provided by the Host.
Occupancy: The number of guests must not exceed the limit stated in your confirmation.
Quiet Hours: Please respect the tranquillity of the islands; quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No Subletting: The rental agreement is personal to the Guest and may not be assigned or sublet to any third party under any circumstances. Only the registered guests are permitted to stay on the property.
No Parties or Events: Faymos Properties BVI is intended for residential use only. Parties, events, weddings, or commercial gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Host. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate eviction without refund and may incur additional cleaning or damage fees.
Emergency Access: The Property Manager/Owner reserves the right to enter the property to carry out essential/emergency maintenance, inspections, or repairs. We will provide reasonable notice. Guests agree to provide reasonable access.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands.
8. Agreement
By completing your payment to Faymos Properties BVI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
